Anyway you choose! You can use our site to search for fun events, reviews and ongoing student discounts, or if you already have an event or venue in mind check the site first to see if there are any deals before you go!
My RA/teacher/advisor/etc. gave me this key tag, what do I do with this?
Congrats on receiving an Open Arts membership key tag! Click on the “member sign in” button at the bottom right of our home screen and then “register”. Use the code on the back of the key tag to create an account and activate your membership for additional free offers to ticketed events.
How do I get or use deals I find on this site?
Great question! Each deal, discount or ticket offer we list also includes instructions on how to redeem the offer. Sometimes it’s as easy as showing your college I.D., calling the organization’s box office or going directly to the organization’s site to purchase tickets.
I just redeemed a free ticket to an event through the Open Arts site and TicketLeap, so all I need to do is show up at the venue and enjoy the show right?
Yes, but it’s important to note that you are holding on to a ticket voucher. Your real ticket will be given to you when you arrive at the event. It’s very important that you arrive at your event at least 15 minutes early to receive an actual ticket and seat confirmation. In addition to your voucher you may be asked to show your college I.D. and your Open Arts tag.
When in doubt, contact the hosting organization. Their contact information will be included on your ticket voucher.
I'd really like to bring my awesome friend | significant other | parent | colleague...but they are not a college student. Can I use my extra Open Arts ticket for them?
Open Arts tickets are exclusively offered to college students attending school at one of our 31 college partner schools. All students who register for an Open Arts event must bring their ticket voucher and be able to show a current college ID upon arrival at events. For non-college students, we provide a "buy direct" link on the event page to purchase tickets directly from the venue. You may check to see if they have rush tickets available or check out Funsavers a local site featuring a lot of great arts and culture discounts.
What if I want to sit with my friends at the event, how do we make sure we can do so?
Each venue is different, but most all of our arts partners are able to seat you with your guests when you arrive at the event. If you want to be sure, please arrive early and check in at the box office. If purchasing tickets for a non-college student, call the box office to discuss your seating options.
I received an email saying I cannot reserve more than one ticket under my name. Does this mean I can't reserve tickets for my other college friends?
When ticket registration allows for reservations of more than one ticket, we encourage you to bring along another college friend. For the sake of our partner venues box office, each ticket must be reserved under the specific name and email of the student using the ticket rather than a duplicate name. If you receive a notice that you have a duplicate ticket, we'll ask that you provide the name, email and college of each extra guest. In case you are unable to do so, we reserve the right to release tickets back to registration.
What if my other college friends don't have an Open Arts membership, but attend a partner college and would like to attend an event?
Tell them to email us using the Contact Us link. We'd be happy to help get them access to all of the fun!
Hey! Will tickets to these free events sell out? How do I make sure I know when new event tickets become available so I can reserve them?

I registered to attend an event and got a voucher but now I can’t make it. Can I just give my voucher to someone else?
If you cannot attend an event, please email us as soon as possible so we can cancel your order and make the ticket available for another interested student and make sure the program confirms your use of the ticket and not someone else.
