Philadelphia Art Alliance
Founded in 1915 as a meeting place for the performing, literary, and visual arts, the Philadelphia Art Alliance is one of the oldest art centers in the U.S.A. Today, the PAA continues to play an important role in the arts as a non-profit art gallery and performance space dedicated to the advancement and appreciation of innovative contemporary art and to inspiring dynamic interaction between audiences and artists in a setting of historic and aesthetic significance.
The PAA’s focus on contemporary craft and design allows us to feature innovative artists and performers working in a variety of genres, mediums, and formats. Through our exhibitions, ranging from one artist shows of emerging local artists to large scale projects by nationally and internationally renowned artists and groups, as well as our programs, including exhibition tours, hands-on, educational workshops, and musical and multi-media performances, we welcome audiences to see and experience craft and design in new ways.
